Student Innovation Fund
The purpose of the Student Innovation Fund is to provide a resource for students that have creative, innovative projects that they would like to do for Senior Design projects that are multidisciplinary or in partnership with a non-profit organization or business entity, student organization competitions, or student organization projects. The funds are to be used for purchasing parts, supplies, equipment and no stipends for students and/or faculty.
Students are required to submit a proposal for the project and a formal presentation to the selection committee. The Selection committee will consist of the following standing members: Engineering and Technology Student Council Treasurer (currently Andrew Fraser), Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs (currently Stephen Hundley), Faculty Advisor for Engineering and Technology Student Council (currently Terri Talbert-Hatch), and Tom Ward (original donor for the fund) or his appointed representative. One additional student council rep and business and industry rep will be appointed each year. There will be a rolling submission process for applications (1st of each month).
Important! When you submit your proposal, please include days/times that you are generally available so that your presentation to the selection committee can be easily scheduled.
