BME 40200 explores career and professional topics in Biomedical Engineering. Topics include resume writing, interviewing, and professional conduct; post-graduate education and life-long learning; and industrial, clinical, and research opportunities in Biomedical Engineering.

This course exposes students to current topics and issues relevant to the technical and career aspects of Biomedical Engineering. Topics are selected to prepare students for the next phase of their professional careers, with practical information on resumé writing and interviewing, selecting and applying to graduate programs, and developing a career plan. Guest speakers will discuss career opportunities for biomedical engineers in industrial, clinical, and research settings.


Upon completion of the course, students should be able to:
