Bepko Continuing BME Student Scholarship

This scholarship is to recognize a current BME student for his or her hard work and dedication in the program.

Amount: $1,000.00

Class Standing: Full-time and part-time undergraduate student.

GPA Requirement:  2.7 or higher

Other Qualifications: Students currently in the BME program who have completed all the freshman requirements are eligible to apply. Applicant must also demonstrate financial need.

Bepko Scholarship for Outstanding Academic Achievement

These scholarships are to award a sophomore and junior standing BME student who excels academically.

Amount: $500.00

Class Standing: Full-time and part-time sophomore and junior undergraduate student.

GPA Requirement:  Cumulative GPA required for the Bachelors of Science in BME during sophomore and junior year.

Other Qualifications: Applicant must receive a nomination from a Biomedical Engineering faculty member.

Biomedical Engineering Outstanding Service Award

The Outstanding Service Award is to honor a BME student that not only excels in the classroom, but in the community as well. This student shows a desire to better the community or university through involved service activities.

Amount: $500.00

Class Standing: Full-time and part-time undergraduate student.

GPA Requirement:  N/A

Other Qualifications: Applicant must submit a CV with the application highlighting his or her service activities.

Charles H. Turner Outstanding Academic Achievement for Senior Year

This award highlights a current BME senior for his or her excellence throughout their academic career.

Amount: $500.00

Class Standing: Full-time and part-time undergraduate senior.

GPA Requirement: Cumulative GPA required for the Bachelors of Science in BME during senior year.

Other Qualifications: Applicant must receive a nomination from a Biomedical Engineering faculty member.

Exemplary Internship or Research Award   

The Exemplary Internship or Research Award recognizes a BME student who has participated in an internship or research opportunity outside of class. This student has positively contributed to his or her assigned project, while showing perseverance and enthusiasm.

Amount: $500.00

Class Standing: Full-time and part-time undergraduate student.

GPA Requirement:  N/A

Other Qualifications: Students that have completed and internship experience (industrial or research) for credit during the previous calendar year is eligible to apply. The applicant must submit a summary of his or her internship experience highlighting the contribution he or she made to the project. Applicant must also submit a letter of recommendation from the internship supervisor/ mentor.

Outstanding Engineering Dual Degree Biomedical Engineering Student Award

This award honors a current student who is diligently working towards a dual degree in BME through IUPUI and Butler. This student is actively engaged in both curriculums while having a positive impact in the classroom.

Amount: $500.00

Class Standing: Full-time and part-time undergraduate student.

GPA Requirement:  Highest GPA in Biomedical Engineering Classes

Other Qualifications: Applicant must receive a nomination from a Biomedical Engineering faculty member. Applicant must show engagement with the curriculum (e.g. taking on extra projects or reading to learn more about course subjects) and classroom citizenship (e.g. helping classmates understand course material).
