Curriculum and Plan of Study

The Computer Graphics Technology (CGT) program offers a Purdue Bachelor of Science Degree. The degree is available with two concentrations:

Computer Graphics Technology (CGT) at IUPUI educates undergraduate and graduate students to become the finest practitioners, managers, and leaders in the field of applied computer graphics technology and digital communication.

Our students are creative and technological problem solvers and are consistently hired for their expertise in both areas. CGT is a unique program that prepares students for a wide variety of computer graphics professions. So whether you dream of designing robust websites, animating 3D characters or anything in between, the fun begins with Computer Graphics Technology.

Requirements for Bachelor of Science in Computer Graphics Technology

Completion of 120 credit hours, distributed among the following areas

  • CGT Core (must be completed with a grade of C- or better)
  • CGT Concentration (must be completed with a grade of C- or better) 
  • CGT Selectives (must be completed with a grade of C- or better)
  • Leadership
  • Mathematics/Science
  • General Education 
  • Free Electives 

The general education requirements include 30 hours of the IUPUI General Education Core which aligns with the Principles of Undergraduate Learning.

Students who must interrupt their course of study for two calendar years or more will be required to meet all requirements for the program as it stands at the time of their return.
