Music Business Marketing

MUS- Z 345 / 3 Cr.

This fully on-line Music Business Marketing course will incorporate active and projectbased learning to provide a comprehensive approach to marketing music artists. Students will design customized marketing plans that integrate traditional and non-traditional (online) marketing dimensions. Professionals within the music industry will be occasional be featured in pre-recorded video lectures.
Goals
  • Develop an integrated approach to music marketing in the focus areas of Press, Retail, Distribution (online and traditional), Radio, Advertising, Merchandising, and Touring.
  • Create a timeline and a working marketing plan tailored to particular artist’s individual strengths.
