Scholarships for Women in Engineering

The following scholarships are geared specifically to minorities and women in engineering:

Commitment to Engineering Excellence

$2,200 per academic year

Application deadline: March 15

This is a scholarship that gives preference to underrepresented students, specifically women and minority students whose presence will enhance the learning environment through increased diversity in the School of Engineering and Technology.  Students must be directly admitted to the School of Engineering and Technology in an engineering or engineering technology program.  Students may re-apply for this scholarship each year.  Students will also have opportunities for paid undergraduate research.  Students are required to attend workshops throughout the semester and 10 hours of service per semester.  For more information, please contact Dr. Terri Talbert-Hatch at 317-274-8703 or

P.E.O Scholarships for Women

P.E.O is a Philanthropic Educational Organization that provides financial support for women to further their education.  They also have an Educational Loan Fund, a Peace Scholarship for foreign students, and a Continuing Education grant for women whose education has been interrupted.
