Purpose: The Applied Computing Club focuses on making developers out of anyone, no matter their major or background. As technology skills are becoming more in demand, we want to make you more marketable/hireable by teaching you skills that are in high-demand.
Normal Member Activities: Introduce students to Salesforce CRM training, provide career advice, workshops, create projects, infosec topics, provide tutoring, and learn new programming skills.
Time Requirement: No requirement, members can decide how much time to commit.

Purpose: The BMES aims to provide members with opportunities to network with professionals, staff, and peers. Members will be a part of a worldwide society that focuses on new technology and research in the biomedical industry. As well as attending the national BMES annual meeting, other benefits include monthly volunteering and social events. Monthly meetings will feature career and research opportunities, guest speakers, and more.

Purpose: The main goals of the BMEGSA are to promote networking, professional development, service to the community, and social interactions between students within the department of biomedical engineering (BME).

Purpose: The Motorsports Club creates a place for all who share the same passion of Motorsports to come and participate in the motorsports activities at a competitive level.
Normal Member Activites: Motorsports Day and Weekend Kart Racing during the Fall Semester, Purdue Grand Prix and Weekend Racing Spring Semester.
Time Requirement: Grand Prix Team Member: 8-12 hrs a week, Weekend Team Member: 5-8 hrs a week, Just a Club Member: 1-3 hrs a week.3

Purpose: To develop the applications of mathematics to engineering, industry, science and society; Also to promote research that will lead to effective new mathematical and computational methods for science, engineering, industry; and moreover to provide the connections for the exchange of information and ideas among mathematicians, engineers, and scientists at IUPUI.
Normal Member Activities: Help students further their careers and obtain helpful feedback and advice by providing the connections between both undergraduate and graduate students, industrial scientists, and faculty members.

Purpose: Formula SAE is a an annual design competition in which universities build an open wheel style race car and bring the car to compete and be judged by engineers and other professionals in the automotive field. This club works to prepare a yearly entry.
Normal Member Activities: Students work together to design, analyze, and manufacture a car using their knowledge gained from in the classroom and from research conducted on their own.

Purpose: To serve the needs of HR professionals and advances the interests of the HR profession.

Purpose: The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) supports women in engineering through professional development, advocacy, and globalization. SWE is a global non-profit educational and service organization dedicated to support women in engineering.

Purpose: The Special Interest Group on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques (SIGGRAPH) creates a campus-wide collaborative organization for students which promotes computer graphics, interactive techniques and creativity. Member benefits include access to job and internship opportunities, guest lecturers, workshops, competitions, potential collaborators and the annual SIGGRAPH national conference.
Normal Member Activities: Guest Speakers from feature film companies & Triple A feature game companies, speakers from local industry companies throughout Indianapolis, portfolio reviews from speakers, Late night labs for collaboration on art and projects, Annual Animation Film Festival & Electronic Theater, and Annual Animation Short Film Competition.

Graduate Student Organizations
Purpose: Biomedical Engineering Graduate Student Association at IUPUI (BMEGSA) promotes networking, professional development, service to the community, and social interactions between students within the department of biomedical engineering (BME) and represents the interests of the students to the BME department and the Indiana University - Purdue University of Indianapolis (IUPUI) graduate student government.
Normal Member Activities: We host weekly seminars every Friday with presentations from BME faculty, adjunct faculty and the graduate students. BMEGSA coordinates a social event off campus monthly.
Time Requirement: 1-2 Hours a week.
